Whenever I think I’ve been reinvented,
something gets lost, broken or dented.
Change is good is what they say.
But then I don’t know who I’ll be that day.
Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or coffee,
there’s no one best we all can agree.
Fit and lean or skinny and wasted,
personal palettes are always what’s tasted.
Intelligence’s graded by those who agree,
calamity then guided by another’s stupidity.
Sink or swim, lose or fight,
will it matter when the victor’s right.
As of today I have no conclusion,
just more questions and confusion.
Perhaps tomorrow I’ll know what’s what.
So for now I’ll just follow my gut.
Hello world, how do you do?
I’ve got a little something to share with you.
The sun has risen and the day is new.
But what comes next I’ve not a clue.
I’m sure you’re feeling much the same,
though to be confused there is no shame.
Mistakes get made, we share the blame.
Wouldn’t it be nice if life were tame?
Imagine the place this world could be,
if all could live both safe and free.
Think of the wonders we’d all see.
See you tomorrow, that’s it for me.
Confusion is life
Befuddlement is wonder
If not – try harder
Seek to entertain
And be entertained seeking
Seek not and be not
Write of what’s known?
Than to write would be easy
When one knew nothing
Circumstances change and change again.
So I’m not really sure how this poem’s to end.
What is real is unknown till done,
but time imagined has already begun.
The stars shine bright until the dawn.
The future awaits and then it’s gone.
Thoughts and visions obscure the truth;
a lack of years isn’t youth.
Recollections and experience color our days.
Points of view shade our ways.
Life’s the sonnet never ending,
verses abound, conclusions ever-pending.
If to see music and feel hues,
you’re gonna pay your f’n dues.
Reality’s then plain to see,
for the muse love’s too easy.
A note received punctuation’s unknown,
another twist with a faceless tone.
But all the words used then rearranged again.
And this too will be rewritten because there is no end.
