Believe It Why Not

I have a plan to save mankind.
I’ve just a few things left to find.
First is a place we all can hide.
It’ll need big windows to feel outside.
~
Next is food, but we can’t be too picky,
just nothing too spicy, gooey or sticky.
There’s coffee, for sure with sugar and cream,
then a really big bed for all to dream.
~
We’ll need some music so bring guitars.
Smoking’s optional but no cigars.
There’s no heavy drinking or hard drugs.
No need for violence or unruly thugs.
~
There will be no jail or a court.
So bring no weapons of any sort.
We’ll all need to promise to get along.
It sounds pretty easy, what can go wrong.
~
You’ll never find a happier place.
It’ll fill up fast so reserve your space.
Now one last thing before I take leave;
it’s best not come if you can’t believe.

Time’s the space between events.
Events made from cause and effect.
Effects felt when closing space,
causing events to speed up the space.
.
Much like life, love and lust,
the time comes and in we’re thrust.
The future is and the past was,
effecting all, just because.

Beerly

My beer’s warm and my bed’s cold.
My wife ran off and my car’s real old.
My dog’s half dead but that’s OK,
I can’t afford to feed him anyway.
~
The kids don’t talk to me anymore.
I go to see mom and she locks the door.
So I go to see dad in the old boneyard.
I drink and I cry and I fall real hard.
~
I get so drunk I can’t even stand.
I woke up once covered in sand.
My toilet’s broke so I pee in the sink.
There’s a shed outside, that’s where I think.
~
I got no lights to turn off or on.
The landlord screams “why ain’t you gone
But don’t weep for me cos I ain’t sad.
I ain’t never had a beer’s that bad.

Forever Tomorrows

A love like ours is a love so rare.
Each and every moment is love we share.
Our body’s drawn to each other’s embrace.
Our joy’s seen on each other’s face.
~
Whisper’s amplified and sure to please.
Kisses always welcome and returned with ease.
Life’s now unimaginable any other way.
Yet I love her more than I did yesterday.

Penning Passions

Another love poem that’s just for you.
It’s another love poem cos it’s what I do.
Though these poems are special in every way,
they’re inspired by our love each and every day.
~
I write each one from deep in my heart.
And each second with you is another’s start.
The passion spills with each word I write.
The passion inspired each and every night.
~
The sun will rise on a good day, for sure.
I’ll wake with zeal to pen you ever more.
You’ll wake to a kiss and my morning creation.
We’ll snuggle close feeling ever more inspiration.

Ambiguity

Tomorrow’s poem might be my best.
It could be different from all the rest.
I have some ideas I’d like to share.
I’m just not sure if you’ll care.
~
The title for it I can’t decide.
But I’ll be searching far and wide.
I’m pretty sure it will rhyme.
As they do most of the time.
~
It may be funny with sad mixed in.
It could have numbers, they make me grin.
I have no end or much of a start.
When it’s done I hope it’s art.
~
Beginnings are somewhere, this might be it.
But if it’s not I don’t care one bit.
I’ll choose my words carefully, as you can see.
Cos I can’t be sure what’ll come out of me.
~
That sounds bad; maybe I’ll edit that out.
When something’s good there’s usually no doubt.
It’s time to go, but this chat’s been fun.
I’ll see you tomorrow with perhaps a better one.

A Vision Revision

I’ve come to notice a problem today.
The problem’s a word that poets say.
It’s actually a word we all overuse.
So I’ll create a new one as I choose.
~
This word, off course, is love you see.
It should be precise, but it’s used differently.
We all can love many, many things,
like puppies and babies and backyard swings.
~
But love is different when shared by two.
When the love you give comes back to you.
When every kiss is whole body felt,
when making love makes your mind melt.
~
When saying goodbye you can’t let go.
And time apart passes far too slow.
When holding each other’s hand feels just right.
And you fall asleep cuddling every night.
~
Now this poem’s getting long and I’ve still no clue.
But my time’s now for pondering, that’s what I do.
So I’ll share this thought with my lovely sweetheart.
And we’ll kiss and giggle then it’s back to the start.

Effervesce

Life is for the tasting.
Time is not for wasting.
Joy is what is found.
When tomorrow’s we are bound.
~
Escape the path of wrath.
The proof is in the math.
The more love that you share,
the more you are aware.
~
The more things that you see,
the more you’ll feel free.
The more things that you feel,
the more your life is real.
~
Though hardships get us down,
the winners wear the crown.
They toast the end of day,
tasting dreams there to stay.

Seems To Be

It seems like only yesterday when time was on my side.
The future was ahead with opportunities far and wide.
The world, it seems, my oyster with all its slime and goo.
The pearls were for my plucking; now they are but few.
~
My words no longer flow and little seems to please.
Perhaps it’s just boredom or my mind is now at ease.
Age may be the culprit; it seems to fit the bill.
Birthdays cause reflection as they always will.
~
The image that is seen may not be what it seems.
Tomorrow I’ll be younger, but only in my dreams.
Today I watched the sunrise, it seems, a perfect day.
I think I’ll wake my love and kiss these blues away.

Perspective

The day was long, the night short.
Arms embrace for support.
Work was taxing and taxes due.
Trinkets bought but just a few.
~
Pillows help soften the blow.
Blankets warm from head to toe.
Legs intertwined and bodies askew,
it’s fun to try something new.
~
Perspectives change in new light,
loving eyes improve our sight.
Peaceful slumber finds its way,
the perfect end to an imperfect day.

A Shot in the Dark

I feel a tale coming on,
from this place I sit upon.
Here or there or hither and yon,
perhaps a tail I shall don.
~
If it be long I’ll wear shorts.
If it be helpful I’ll play sports.
If it’s painful I’ll be in reports.
If made famous I’ll live in resorts.
~
Characters all, we stand in line.
It’s worth a shot, I got mine.
The wait begins for a sign.
And other than fear I feel fine.
~
The story starts when a bug consumes.
The world locked safely in their rooms.
Sharing we will whatever looms.
An end is near, enjoy the blooms.

Points of View

On pins and needles is where I sit.
Awaiting a place where I’ll fit,
left or right or in between,
high or low or a place unseen.
~
A place we need to call our own,
upon arrival we’ll have grown.
Run or walk the journey’s long,
skip or crawl, at worst we’re wrong.
~
Time will tell when time it is.
The challenge then is to pass the quiz.
Take it slow and recall the past.
Our brightness shines with contrast.
~
Lines untangled an unsure bet,
points of view is what we get.
The big picture seen sets us free.
Clarity felt makes we of me.

Thankful Beginnings

I started to write a love poem but it had no end.
As the love I’m now feeling surely will transcend.
If only to imagine tomorrow’s blissful ways,
the sun will shine inside and out the remainder of our days.
~
Smiles and laughter fill our time with kisses in between.
Some good natured guidance shared, but never ever mean.
Together we’re always playful, never do we fight.
We’d rather be making love; morning, noon and night.
~
We contemplate the sunset sipping our evening tea.
We’ll cuddle in bed later while we watch late night TV.
We wake up every morning snuggled together as one.
We’re thankful for each other and the new day we’ve begun.

For Sure

I’m not sure of the time,
or the day of the week.
I’m not certain that I hear,
or that I even speak.
~
It seems that I can see,
as the words become more clear.
I’m sure that I can feel,
as I live in constant fear.
~
I’m probably indecisive,
then again maybe not.
I’d like to think I think,
but unfortunately not a lot.
~
Uncertainty is a problem;
it’s something we all share.
I’m not sure you agree,
I’m not sure that I care.
~
There is one thing I do know,
this poem is nearly done.
I’m not sure what comes next,
but the future has begun.

More Love, Less Stress

In times of worry and feeling stress,
when plans made become a mess,
you’ll find the answers no need to guess.
You’re surrounded by friends, no need to regress.
.
Troubling thoughts we will address,
my care for you I’ll gladly express.
Our love will grow stronger, never less.
And when a hug’s needed I’ll always say yes.

Habitual Ritual

From dreams inspired overnight,
her morning poem I long to write.
I wake at dawn feeling bliss,
thinking first of the day’s first kiss.
~
The kiss returned and we snuggle close.
Our ritual’s begun with a timely dose.
Her touch is felt from head to toe.
I love you shared and feelings grow.
~
Our room brightens, the future’s new.
The sun wakes to skies of blue.
I hold her close till dreams return.
I then rise with none to yearn.
~
Passion flows and coffee brews.
Words perk from flavors to choose.
Visions recalled, emotions poured.
Ink boils from the one adored.
~
Shadows dance to a beating heart.
Her eyes open to another start.
Another day filled with love and bliss.
Another ode welcomed with a kiss.

Only One

Pinks and grays and powder blue,
like the snowflake, there are no two.
Dusky times do surely amaze,
as slowly they fade in a purple haze.

Starlight brightens till morning light.
Day’s awakened the futures in sight.
The sun will set and blanket the blue.
And like the snowflake I’ll melt with you.

FOREST OF HELL

Colorless leaf crackle beneath sole-less feet.

The smell of death lingers sweet.

Bramble thick draws blood on paper skin,

digging more deeply the deeper within.

 *

Then starlight fades to the darkness I fear,

moonlight shadows disappear.

Columns abound supporting endless night,

numbers multiply consuming the light.

 *

Welcome dew hangs heavy in unseen air,

to drink deep I do not dare.

Outstretched hands replace teary useless eyes.

Senses heightened, alert of endless cries.

 *

Vibrations of night; soft, loud, far and near,

distant from all that we all hold dear.

Wanting now only to curl-up and weep,

my soul is still for the sickle to reap.

 *

Return to the path I lost yesterday,

blackness turns slowly to gray.

Long nights journey in the forest of hell,

surviving unscathed except for my shell.

 *

The End

Yes, Love

Another poem with love the theme,
hearts at peace and smiles gleam.
Bliss is felt with each goodnight kiss.
Good morning snuggles to never miss.
~
Our days filled with laughter and fun.
Good times continue with the setting sun.
Evenings aglow in candlelight,
warmth’s felt throughout the night.
~
Her image always vivid in my enchanted mind.
Her thoughts of us shared in kind.
A more perfect pair none could ever guess.
So is this love? Oh heavens, yes!
