Classic Rock Edition
Let Her Be
Mother Nature will be free
Please sun, let her be
Sometime there’s a place
Where all I see is your face
I can’t leave it now
Dreamers all are we
Our imaginations joined
Worlds, minds and hearts freed
Classic Rock Edition 3
I can’t get your reaction
And I tried haiku
Time for a feeling
Dreams of rock and roll tonight
Living on haiku
Please give me a kiss
Muffins don’t get down like this
Classic Rock Edition 1
It’s only haiku
And I really do like it
I do, yes haiku
There are words I know
Sometime they have no meanings
Stairway to haiku
On and On~
Sing your haiku songs
Find the time for all your dreams
Now’s the time, ramble
While riding today on my swing,
Heard a song, started to sing.
Beatles click and chirping bird,
An outside song, inside not heard.
In the wood wind blows through the trees.
Back-up came from buzzing bees.
The babbling brook played the rhythm.
Over smooth stones the waters strum.
Keeping the beat atop a log,
Bass was played by a croaking frog.
It’s nature’s band with me to sing.
Soaring high on my backyard swing.
A look, touch – A kiss
Hands, bodies – Tactile bliss
Love – Nothing’s amiss
Heart strings stroked feel heat
Neck caressed long and sweet
Rhythm head to feet
How humans learned
They died for knowledge yearned
Trial and error’d
Lulled by music without a sound,
sleep arises when feet leave the ground.
The high notes soar, the low notes pound,
harmony’s felt all around.
Eyes closed with visions bright,
darkness consumes, and we call it night.
Stars shine with guiding light,
our sun awakens a new day’s sight.
Hidden worlds then unseen,
reality just time between.
There’s months of white and of green,
pastel shades fill the scene.
Ghosts of the past by our side,
together we travel far and wide.
Upon their wings, how high we glide,
melody’s echo like a changing tide.
Life is lived never alone,
spirits follow on their own.
Reminding us what to atone,
joining then when we’re grown.
Death’s a part of paying dues,
we only cry when we lose.
The future is for us to choose,
we’re still singing, singing the blues.
If to live a life of fantasy,
immortality bound and trouble free.
Never to be a wannabe,
desires fulfilled by decree.
What would they be, Oh what would they be?
To be an explorer on the open sea,
nature bound and living free,
the entire world I would see.
I’d fulfill life’s destiny.
Where would it be, where would it be?
An artist perhaps, filling the world with glee,
history bound and creating free,
painting for all a new reality.
Or I’ll write a song with perfect harmony.
How will it be, how will it be?
Maybe a billionaire on a shopping spree,
luxury bound and spending free,
rolling about with bling and scree.
Or I’d give it all away to charity.
What would it be, what would it be?
A philosopher would be great, solving life’s mystery,
intellectually bound and thinking free,
cleaning up mankind’s debris.
And debate all who disagree.
When will it be, when will it be?
But I’m not, I’m just me,
homeward bound and mostly free,
curious of complexity.
Loving and loved I guarantee.
Who could it be, who could it be, it’s you and me!
A quiet calm’s befallen,
the morning sky’s blue.
A bit of a chill’s in the air,
life feels brand new.
Music fills my head,
my body starts to sway.
Tribulation’s now are past,
the future starts today.
The groove’s now returning,
today’s looking bright.
Every step becomes a dance,
toe to toe all night.
Tomorrow is another day,
yet to be a song.
But with love most duly noted,
the laughter will be strong.
The more we’re together the less the world’s a part.
Our passion’s indulged with music, poetry and art.
In a time of violence and of greed,
the love of each other’s all we need.
With arms meant to reach and to hold,
the wonder of love’s boldly told.
Lives intertwined becoming one,
endless adventures have begun.
With zest, zeal and sex appeal;
smiles always shared, always real.
Equal devotion adding to the feel,
all’s mutually beneficial, the deal ideal
I feel a storm a brewin’
And thoughts, they are a stewin’
Seems procrastination ain’t so great
Time it seems just won’t wait
Youthful dreamin’ put on hold
Earnin’s first, I’ve been told
While the future does still beckon
It’s path though I’ve yet to reckon
But my guitar needs a playin’
And my hips need a swayin’
My pencil needs more dancin’
And of course there’s more romancin’
So much to do, so little time left to waste
Ponderin’s ahead, no need for haste
I am after all a master procrastinator
So I’ll get old, but just a little bit later
It’s hard to feel better,
when every song sounds the same.
They’re all about love.
And in all I hear her name.
Melodies of yesterdays,
now static in my mind.
Harmony found muted,
only silence now to find.
Tomorrows skip forward,
tonal change taps away.
But the beat must go on,
tuning out on Saturday.
With these strings, I thee bled,
fingers raw and eyes red.
Sounds of the day fill my head.
Emotion speaks with words unsaid.
With six strings I am fed.
Good vibration is my med.
Tension’s tuned and compression shed.
Harmony pledged. To honor bred.
With my strings I have wed.
Our ties bound by common thread.
Sweet melodies or what’s instead?
I’ll have and hold till I’m dead.
I need to write something to cheer me up,
maybe a fairy tale, a trip or new pup.
But no love stories, not any more.
I failed at that before.
Now something brighter, no emotion at all.
I won’t have to see it if I write really small.
Perhaps of worlds unknown, can’t be wrong,
something airy and mellow maybe a song.
I’ll write of the stars and space beyond,
or of rippled reflections of ducks on a pond.
Or I won’t write at all, I’ll learn the fiddle!
Nah, I’m just kidding and cheered up a little.
When apart, memories I find.
Your portrait’s painted across my mind.
A soundtrack plays, we dance slow.
Visions rewind and forward we go.
This morning’s note to say all’s well.
Our love rings true, clear as a bell.
The past’s behind and some was hell.
Our flip-side sounds sweet. No need to dwell.
A brass band will play.
Then home with you.
Goodnight perfect day.
Pick’s in hand, sticks in mind,
harps guide in words I find.
Inspiration meets, greets and fleets.
Hearts feel souls on streets.
Vibrations good, silence strange.
Eyes flicker, scenes change.
A world of waves: hellos, goodbyes.
Exuberance crashes laughs with cries.
Future’s run forward, stepping away.
Winnings cost, losses sway.
Pencil’s sharp to fill the gray.
F M, I’ll beat another day.
I’m too old to be a rock star,
too young to drive a big car.
With a Bugs Bunny brain and body of Fudd,
both barrels blaze, half’s a dud.
In my high fidelity cartoon I animate,
pages fanned, notes came late.
Rhythm’s slowed, meter’s now feet,
when the song remains the same chapter’s complete.
Yet I’ve albums to fill and records to break,
while my quill gently weeps for time I ache.
We’ve walks in the wood and strolls on Main Street.
Our times hand in hand are always a treat.
We’ve snuggled close many a night at the beach.
Our windows foggy, but horizon’s in reach.
We’ve sat at home with the music down low.
Our lips in sync to the songs we both know.
We’ve woke to mornings wishing to never end.
Our moments magnified when a lover’s a friend.
Warm smiles await sleepy morning eyes.
Song birds welcome sunny bright blue skies.
Our days ahead filled with nature, music and art.
Time shared together is our futures start.
Melodies meld, moments mellowed.
Minnie lulls with many an ode.
Chaka puts me in a loving mode.
Many a sun’s risen on Abbey Road.
Zeppelin gets me high.
Hendrix makes me sigh.
Often pondered is The Great Gig in the Sky.
And for Adele I sometime cry.
Infinite sounds fill our head.
Let’s not forget The Grateful Dead.
Life’s music with or without words said.
Yet none more harmonious than whispers in bed.
Hearts broke quick heal faster.
Visions remain of alabaster.
We’ve words of few shared as friends.
Twas a sonnet undone yet seemingly ends.
