Forever More

There are parts of her I’ve yet to kiss.
But all will be found and none I’ll miss.
Her lips well covered her face always more,
her neck I long to further explore.
~
Her lobes enjoyed and nibbled much.
Her body quivers to my gentle touch.
Passion ensues and intuition guides.
New destinations found as my tongue glides.
~
Her response is felt on my warm lips,
whilst hands caress her soft round hips.
The kissing proceeds from her head to toes.
But parts in-between I shan’t expose.

Blithering

I sang a song never to be heard,
told a story that’s truly absurd.
Drew a picture no one’s ever seen.
Often I think of what could have been.
~
My mind’s made up to not get down.
I stand on my head when I frown.
I laughed at pain, tears I bled,
walked on air that I’ve been fed.
~
Money burns holes in pockets I’ve had.
Pant less I now go, never broke or sad.
Backwards I walk to not get old.
The future’s unknown, the past I’m sold.
~
Someday I’ll die, a party there’ll be.
Bring a date and slow dance with me.
Mark your calendar, I don’t know when.
But normal we all can be, until then.

Morning Triku # 174 ~ Good Starts

No Down Side

Creativity’s
not about making things up,
it’s making things work.
~

Conundrum

If love made as much
as the time I spend writing,
I’d no time to write.
~

All Good

Love is beautiful,
when all else is not. Love is
all when from the heart.

The Void

~
Bedtime soon and demons shall awake;
but with a soul gone there’s none to take.
The screams in my head scare the spirits away.
Nightmares fast-forward to the light of day.

The ghosts turn white when I yell boo.
And the Reaper can shove his sickle too.
Coz in reality horror lives and fantasy dies.
And sleep‘s just a void behind closed eyes.

Wood of Gray

Rocks and trees look the same in a wood of gray.

They share a darkened sky that wraps a fallen day.

Crackles and snaps taint silent air with sound.

Where collages of colors melt into the ground.

~

Then the chilly breeze and the early night,

That awakens all to the same hazy light.

Seasons end when another begins,

Some icy cold with freezing winds.

~

Some blooming buds and misty showers,

turning tiny seeds into mighty towers.

These longer days we all must grow,

then starlit nights will be aglow.

~

With heat enough to turn green red.

Then yellows float to golden bed.

To share their dreams in patchwork mind,

of sunny times with shade that’s kind.

~

To rest among where fallen lay,

and ponder together this wood of gray.

Writing Time

I woke this morning to a bright sunny day.
There’s a chill in the air, but that’s OK.
I had a good rest and that’s something new.
But when I check the news I’m sure to feel blue.
~
While writing this poem today I had a novel thought.
I’ll skip the news for now and feel much less fraught.
I’m not irresponsible because I really do care.
I just need some time to live without the fear.
~
My hair is turning gray, but that could be just age.
The time comes for all to turn another page.
A chapter’s surely ending and a new one will begin.
But will it be a tome or a volume very thin?
~
Time will surely pass as it always does.
Will we seek tomorrows or the way it was?
Our story’s now converged, edits now have past.
The final word is ours but we’d better make it fast.

Ambiguity

Tomorrow’s poem might be my best.
It could be different from all the rest.
I have some ideas I’d like to share.
I’m just not sure if you’ll care.
~
The title for it I can’t decide.
But I’ll be searching far and wide.
I’m pretty sure it will rhyme.
As they do most of the time.
~
It may be funny with sad mixed in.
It could have numbers, they make me grin.
I have no end or much of a start.
When it’s done I hope it’s art.
~
Beginnings are somewhere, this might be it.
But if it’s not I don’t care one bit.
I’ll choose my words carefully, as you can see.
Cos I can’t be sure what’ll come out of me.
~
That sounds bad; maybe I’ll edit that out.
When something’s good there’s usually no doubt.
It’s time to go, but this chat’s been fun.
I’ll see you tomorrow with perhaps a better one.

Future Reflections

Hot and cold,
feeling old,
awaiting the sunrise
to blind my eye
of visions deepest blue.
~
In a clockwise world
my thoughts drawn back,
tension’s wound
soon to crack,
options are but few.
~
Up and down
and round and round,
in the din
with none to win,
time dreamt through.
~
Words to mind
relief to find,
distraction consumes
on leaf life blooms,
unknown is the hue.
~
Buttons pushed
wishing rest,
weight is shared
solace guessed,
trying is the clue.
~
A cloud reflects
eyes shut detects
a glint of gold,
change I’m sold,
tomorrow’s now in view.
~
Touched a screen
hope was seen,
hearts of friends,
my future mends
with much thanks to you.

For Sure

I’m not sure of the time,
or the day of the week.
I’m not certain that I hear,
or that I even speak.
~
It seems that I can see,
as the words become more clear.
I’m sure that I can feel,
as I live in constant fear.
~
I’m probably indecisive,
then again maybe not.
I’d like to think I think,
but unfortunately not a lot.
~
Uncertainty is a problem;
it’s something we all share.
I’m not sure you agree,
I’m not sure that I care.
~
There is one thing I do know,
this poem is nearly done.
I’m not sure what comes next,
but the future has begun.

For the Birds

A summer morning lovely,
I dashed out for a walk.
The birds were singing cheerfully,
we all then had a talk.
~
They asked me where I’m going,
I told them I don’t know.
They said they’re not surprised,
that’s how humans go.
~
They’re always going someplace,
not often knowing where.
You’d think they own this planet,
the one we have to share.
~
I feared my life was over,
Hitchcock came to mind.
A war soon was coming,
everything against mankind.
~
I hurried home to safety,
not knowing what to do.
My dog now too looks scary,
gnawing on a plastic chew.

If Jesus had a gun

If Jesus had a gun there’d be no Christianity.

If Jesus had a say he’d end this insanity.

But if you choose to play this deadly game.

Choose when “shall not” and “might not” are the same?

.

But maker if there be will decide who won.

Prizes to be: peace or the heat of the sun.

To not fear is to fear not the end.

To fear is to violently defend.

.

Some will kill with vigor.

Some hesitate to pull the trigger.

But a trigger’s pulled either way,

Just another death, another day.

.

This loss of life is no one’s gain.

To lose ourselves with altered brain,

Strap on our cloaks of invincibility.

Defy the bonds of sensibility.

.

Children pass and mothers cry.

The bad guy’s always the other guy.

But math doesn’t lie,

Too many people die.

.

There’s some that do, some that don’t.

There’s some that will, some that won’t.

Can there be willingness without desire?

Lines too thin burn easily in fire.

.

If Jesus had a second shot,

Would he take it? –  I think not.

I’ll end this quiz with a wish – not long,

For those of you that pray. –  Pray I’m wrong. .

The End

Monsters

My world is quite small as you can see,

holds fewer monsters that’ll scare me.

Though they’re there, under bed too,

in the mirror they see you!

~

Outside, you know, they’re everywhere.

They happily haunt without a care.

With unwanted visits, I’m never alone.

These monster’s I fear are all my own.

~

Lurking weighty on shadowy shelves,

they’re all the weaknesses of ourselves.

All reminders of what we’re not.

That’s why monsters scare us a lot

A Cynic View

I warn you now I have no clue

Where this poem is going to

Or if it is a poem at all

I can’t decide, you make the call

`

Trees fallen for me to rhyme

Till out of space, bounds, breath and time

Out to lunch and there I’ll join you

We’ll rearrange words on life’s menu

`

Time is free, food is not

Sleep spent in dollars per spot

Feet walk, wheels run

Hands make wings to the sun

`

Voices singing for all who hear

Through buds growing in the ear

Tiny wires dangle from there

Yet no-one seems to give a care

`

With tablet and Wi-Fi at the ready

Media replaced good ole teddy

Designer binkies between the lips

Smartphones at the fingertips

`

Toddlers hunched, stroller bound

Multi cup-holders and Dolby sound

Of course a visor to shield the sun

The big glowing face that was once fun

 `

Now a menace to one and all

Best to stay in until the fall

When leafy suburbs bags abound

Full of leaves, once on the ground

 `

Cleared from lawns to keep them green

Exchanged with poisons in-between

Until the snow, when all’s forgotten

Of summer days way back when

 `

When sunny skies made all seem bright

Laughter filling playful moonlight

Now games played with only thumbs

Killing the most for the biggest sums

 `

Some might win the rest will lose

Most can’t, but some will choose

Now we’ve all a choice to make

Was it ever real or just a real fake?

`

Or if it ever will be, or ever was

Or just maybe it is – just because
