Crossroads

Maybe a message will set things right.
Or should I wait another night.
Maybe’s she’s waiting for my call.
A show of friendship could say it all.
~
I’d like to know how she’s feeling.
Maybe like me with a heart reeling.
Will there be anger, will we cry?
Will we laugh, will we lie?
~
Or will she say “Oh I’m feeling fine”.
Then I’d know she’s never to be mine.
Should I except loss to relive the pain?
Or make the call to break my heart again?

Always Sunny

In darkness risen for a day surely bright.
Dawn awaits the future in sight.
Weather’s uncertain but spirits alight.
Drizzle chilled can dampen not our night.
~
A sun shining somewhere is on my mind.
Horizons call together we’ll find.
Souls united with hearts in kind.
The warmth of two leaves darkness behind.

Again

Another day apart is another day to start.
A day to start loving you over again.
Another night alone but we’ll talk on the phone.
And we’ll make our weekend plans.
~
The weekend’s nearly here to be with my dear.
And together we’ll share our wishes.
Our weekend will too soon end and a text I’ll send.
It’s another chance to say “I love you”, again.

Presently Overly Scattered

A thought a glance a word or line.
What will inspire tomorrows’ rhyme?
It could be anguish or love, death or a bug.
Maybe it’s the past, future or running out of time.
~
Or maybe not, sometimes the present forgot.
A mind’s sometime scattered with distraction sublime.
Walls can be high and we leap or crash.
This time time leapt for today’s tomorrow’s rhyme.

Seasons Shined

seasons shined

The sun today rose
as everyone knows.
And the summer
now long past behind.
~
Our nights grow long,
though nothing is wrong.
But of winter,
it does surely remind.
~
Our life like time,
filled with rhythm and rhyme,
and with joys and tears to fall.
A bright side’s for us to find.
~
Buy night we rest,
for our daily test,
which springs every dawn.
We choose the tune in our mind.

The Leaves We Read

We sometime get what we want.
We sometime get what we need.
Sometimes both are satisfied.
That’s when we truly succeed.
*
When wants and needs are met,
hearts and minds are freed.
When time and space align,
growth assured for the seed.

Out of the Woods

Inner roots entrenched un-nurtured.
Branches straggled poetic, undeterred.
Once lost in space above the din,
depths blurred visions within.
*
Years consumed by sheer ambivalence.
The forest’s unseen, unseen for relevance.
The knowable hidden for unknown fear.
Darkness sweeps focus clear.
*
Cloud’s parting from the blues of green.
Sunbeams felt, sky’s now seen.
Whilst logging life milled in rhyme,
nothing’s saved, saved for next time.

Out to Pasture

Syphilis at seventy is no one’s first choice.
But after the shots you will rejoice.
For the seconds enjoyed in youthful bliss,
it’s worth every minute of that long painful piss.
.
Second chances are rarely found,
chances less when soon in the ground.
The time is now to sow those oats.
So munch away you horny old goats.

A Day in the Life in Love

Mornings I wake thinking of you.
By day we share a text or two.
Evenings we chat on the phone.
Dreams soon follow and never alone.
.
There you’re always in my arms,
I in awe of your many charms.
Too soon the alarm will surely ring.
Then I’ll rise to hear the birds sing.
.
Eyes open, thankful for another day.
Passion’s felt, though far away.
Words then flow with you I’ll share.
It’s my love in verse to show I care.
